TopFlex Flexible Root Canal Irrigation Tips 30G (0.3mm), Taper 0.04 – Pack of 20
TopFlex by Cerkamed are flexible dental irrigation tips (cannulas) with a radial opening that releases the irrigant along the canal. They connect to a luer-lock syringe and are used to flush debris out of the root canal system during endodontic treatment. At 30G (0.3mm) with a 0.04 taper and 27mm working length, the tip is slim enough to follow canal anatomy, and the depth marks at 18, 19, 20 and 22mm make it easy to position accurately. Each pack contains 20 tips.
Key Features
- Flexible irrigation tip designed to follow canal curvature, for deeper and more comfortable irrigant delivery than a rigid needle
- 30G / 0.3mm diameter with 0.04 taper and 27mm working length

TopFlex Compared with Other Flexible Irrigation Tips
TopFlex belongs to the same category as other flexible root canal irrigation needles such as IrriFlex: a slim, flexible tip with a side (radial) opening, designed to deliver irrigant deeper into the canal while following its curvature. If you already use a flexible irrigation tip, TopFlex works in the same way and is used with the same luer-lock syringes, as a cost-effective alternative.
How to Use TopFlex
Preparation
- Open the packaging, take out the tip and immerse it in ethyl alcohol.
- Prefill a syringe with a compatible irrigation solution. Make sure the solution has been stored properly and has not formed crystals, which could block the small opening at the tip.
- Insert the connector of the tip into the luer-lock syringe and lock it by rotating clockwise.
- Make sure the tip is firmly locked and expel any air from the syringe.
- Identify the four depth marks (18, 19, 20 and 22mm). A stopper can be used to set the working length.
- Test the pressure needed to create two equal jets leaving the tip at a suitable speed.
Irrigation
- Start irrigating in the pulp chamber and gently insert the tip into the canal orifice. The tip can be pre-bent to ease access to posterior teeth.
- Use a scouting file to create a smooth canal pathway.
- Determine the working length, then re-irrigate with 1 or 2ml.
- After each trimming step, irrigate with 1 or 2ml of solution, making sure the irrigant has a path to flow back out, and check that the canal is clean.
- For the final rinse, the manufacturer recommends flushing with EDTA followed by sodium hypochlorite; follow your own protocol and rinse with purified water between incompatible irrigants.
- After use, disconnect the tip and dispose of it according to local regulations.
Precautions and Warnings
- Check the length of the canal to be irrigated and use the 18, 19, 20 and 22mm markings to position the tip correctly
- Only skilled dentists should use this product, and only for dental treatment in line with its intended use
- The tip must be disinfected before use
- Do not clean with automated ultrasonic equipment
- Avoid excessive pressure when irrigating, and keep the tip within the canal so the irrigant can flow back out
- Do not use if the packaging is damaged; discard any tip from broken packaging
Storage
- Store at room temperature, away from high temperature, humidity, direct sunlight and liquids
- Do not damage or pierce the packaging
- Keep processed tips in covered storage, in a drawer or cabinet, until use
- Do not keep under a germicidal lamp, as this may cause deterioration
- Shelf life is 5 years
