Re Treaty Bully 21mm 25/.07 Retreatment Endo Files – Gutta-Percha Removal (Pack of 5)
The Bully (Bull-Y) is the first instrument in the Re Treaty retreatment system, developed with Style Italiano Endodontics and made by Perfect Endo. It is a 21mm, 25/.07 NiTi file made from a gold heat-treated alloy and designed specifically to remove the coronal gutta-percha obturation material during non-surgical endodontic retreatment. Its gold-treated alloy, semi-active tip and shorter length let it remove gutta-percha quickly without any solvent, in a conservative, minimally invasive way. This pack contains 5 Bully files.
Retreatment cases are becoming more common than primary treatments, and Re Treaty was created as a dedicated kit for disassembling root fillings conservatively. If you need the full sequence, you can order the complete Re Treaty kit here.
Key Features
- Designed to remove coronal gutta-percha in non-surgical endodontic retreatment

- Semi-active tip and shorter 21mm length for fast, controlled removal of obturation material in the coronal part of the canal
- 25/.07 size and taper for effective removal of gutta-percha
- Works without solvent, enabling "dry" desobturation, which is useful where the obturation in healthy roots should not be disturbed
- Conservative approach that minimises removal of radicular dentine
- Pack of 5 files
- Part of the Re Treaty system by Perfect Endo, designed with Style Italiano Endodontics

The Re Treaty Sequence
Re Treaty follows the Style Italiano Endodontics philosophy: first empty the root canal system in a crown-down approach, and once disassembly is complete, shape the canals conservatively. The full kit has five instruments in three different alloys:
| File | Size / taper | Alloy | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bully (Bull-Y) | 25/.07, 21mm | Gold heat treatment | Removes old coronal gutta-percha obturation material |
| Skinny | 25/.04 | Austenitic NiTi, no heat treatment | Removes material further down, thinnest file in the kit, creates the glide path to the terminus |
| Shapy 1 | 20/.05 | Gold heat treatment | Conservative shaping to finalise the preparation |
| Shapy 2 | 25/.05 | Gold heat treatment | Shaping to finalise the preparation |
| Shapy 3 | 30/.05 | Blue heat treatment | Final shaping size adjustment |
After Skinny, a K-file is used with an electronic apex locator to determine the working length and confirm patency, before the Shapy files are used for the final shaping. This pack contains the Bully 21mm 25/.07 only. The files are supplied individually to help you restock the most frequently used file in the kit.

- Where can I buy the complete Re Treaty kit?
- The complete kit is available from UK Dentistry at https://ukdentistry.co.uk/retreaty.
- Why use a dedicated retreatment file rather than a standard shaping file?
- A dedicated file such as the Bully is designed for cutting efficiency in gutta-percha, in a conservative way that minimises removal of radicular dentine, while the shaping files are saved for the final preparation.
