Product Overview
polar_eyes is a professional cross-polarisation filter designed to easily eliminate unwanted flash reflections (specular highlights) on teeth. These harsh reflections often obscure critical enamel details, masking tooth characterization and causing communication errors when matching shades with the dental laboratory. Reflective cross polarised light photography mitigates unwanted specular reflections which obscure the fine details of dental structures, whilst providing a high contrast / hyper-saturated dental image to be objectively analysed via a RAW image workflow such as the proprietary eLAB protocol.
Featuring a convenient magnetic mounting system, the filter attaches quickly to your macro flash body, allowing seamless switching between polarised and standard patient photography in seconds. This filter is primarily intended to be used with either an 85mm or 105mm macro lens on Nikon, and Canon and Sony DSLRs cameras as well as mirrorless cameras. There is no need for any flash modification.

Important Compatibility Note: Yongnuo flashes may require a specialised mounting adapter. We can provide you with an STL file to 3D print your own adapter free of charge, or supply a pre-printed adapter at cost for £20 ex.
