The Surgic Pro2 has been designed to enhance the performance of the original Surgic Pro with a range of new specifications to ensure greater comfort, efficiency and safety during implant treatment and oral surgery.

Advanced Handpiece Calibration (AHC)

A large part of the success of the original Surgic Pro has been NSK's unique Advanced Handpiece Calibration function, guaranteeing more accurate speed and torque control — and the Surgic Pro2 takes this further still. The accuracy of the torque value depends on the condition of the handpiece bearings and gear abrasion, which the Surgic Pro2's calibration now accounts for to display more accurate values. AHC corrects for differences in the handpiece's condition by minimising the discrepancy between the set torque value and the actual output, helping to improve overall treatment outcomes.

Wireless Connectivity

Rather than just being a surgical micromotor, the Surgic Pro2 is now a central interface for other primary surgical applications. For example, the Osseo 100+ measures implant stability and osseointegration to aid decisions about when to load an implant. Along with the VarioSurg3 ultrasonic surgical unit, the Osseo 100+ can be connected to the Surgic Pro2 via Bluetooth. This allows VarioSurg3 to be operated by the same wireless foot control, with values measured by the Osseo 100+ shown simultaneously on the Surgic Pro2 display — making it easy to switch between units for improved flexibility and workflow. Using the free NSK app, all patient and treatment-related data generated during procedures can be visualised and saved to an external device, then displayed, transferred, or stored in the electronic patient file for full procedural traceability.

LCD Touch Panel

Visibility is guaranteed with the large, back-lit, high-contrast LCD panel, adjustable across 10 brightness levels, with intuitive, easy-to-understand icons for smooth operation.

Easy-Clean Flat-Screen Display

The touch panel's sensitivity can be adjusted to reliably respond when surgical gloves and surgical barrier sheets are in use. The ultra-narrow bezel makes cleaning easier, with the design taking into account the latest treatment and cross-infection control requirements.

Silent and Smooth Irrigation Pump

The irrigation pump provides consistent, steady flow while operating quietly in the background. Set-up is simple and straightforward, and the pump fits seamlessly into the compact, elegant design of the Surgic Pro2.

Wireless Foot Control

Bluetooth connectivity allows selection of the optimal position without worrying about cable length. The foot controller is 400g lighter than the previous model (hanger included), making it easy to reposition so you can keep your focus on treatment. The "Coolant Solution Flow Volume Button", "Program Button" and "Forward/Reverse Button" can be customised using the 3 installed buttons, allowing the operator to choose their preferred mode of operation. The energy-efficient power supply uses 3 AAA batteries, lasting approximately 6 months, with a flashing light indicating when batteries are running low.

Linked with the VarioSurg 3 Ultrasonic Bone Surgery System

Surgic Pro2 can easily be linked with NSK's ultrasonic surgical system, VarioSurg 3, by adding the Bluetooth link module. With the NSK link stand, the two units can be safely stacked to save space, and switched between using one shared foot control for improved flexibility and workflow.

Linked with iPads

Installing a dedicated application and connecting an iPad to the control unit enables real-time display of detailed procedural data, such as rotation speed and torque range. Procedural data can also be saved, and displayed or saved when connecting with Osseo 100+, allowing implant treatment to be tailored to individual patients with full traceability of procedural details.

Visibility Significantly Improved with High-Resolution Colour LED

The high-resolution colour LED allows blood and gums to be seen as if naturally lit, providing increased visibility during treatment. The LED light source generates minimal heat and has an excellent life expectancy.

The optic version comes equipped with the X-SG20L titanium contra-angle handpiece, while this non-optic version is equipped with the SG20 stainless steel contra-angle handpiece — both options are ready to use without any further configuration.
