Cutanplast Haemostatic Sponges

Cutanplast is a sterile gelatine sponge with a marked haemostatic effect, meaning its porous surface of gelatine induces the rapid rupture of blood plaques. This causes enzymes to cascade and a natural coagulation to occururs. 

Each sponge is individually packed in a double sterile blister, to ensure maximum convenience for the dentist. The Cutanplast haemostatic sponge is completely resorbable, healing and haemostatic and is therefore particularly suitable for dental surgery. 

Whilst Cutanplast is great for dentists as it is non-toxic and allergy-free, it is also beneficial to patients. Where dental gauzes were used previously, a Cutanplast sponge provides the same use but is more comfortable for the patient. Cutanplast can be easily bitten down by the patient and will mould itself to the socket, helping to absorb the blood in and around the wound and provide a quick relief to the patient.
